b2evo: 6.7.3

Hi @ all.

I've installed the latest stable version of b2evo on a local server.
This server is not connected to the internet, because we use it for testing purposes and all kind of services are running on it...

Problem:
It takes ages (easily 1 minute) to open pages in the backend. This makes working/using of b2evo nearly impossible. :(
I assume that the ping function is the reason for this behaviour.
In the backend I've then deactivated all "pinging" plugins but it didn't help.
The backend is still slow.

What do I need to do to make the installation not trying to connect with b2evolution.net anymore, everytime when logging in as admin or working in the backend?

Thanks.

@northlight are you sure that it's not an HTTP request what is causing the delay? Can you check the requests waterfall using the elements inspector of your browser? (do you know what I mean? if not, please ask for a bit longer explanation).

The thing is that if you have already disabled all the post pings (http://b2evolution.net/man/after-each-new-post), there is no reason for more hidden connections to b2evolution.net, so I guess that the reason might be something else.

Thanks for your reply.
After editing /inc/dashboard/model/_dashboard.funcs.php and /inc/_core/_misc.funcs.php the backend shows up within no time.

Off course, other things may not work propperly now -> but contacting b2evolution.net with every login is the source of the (one) waiting time.
Besides of the 1 minute waiting time, I don't know if this is legal within European Union - especially Germany. I recommend, that this is not activated by default.
b2evolution-blog admins should ping b2evolution.net only by clicking on a special button it they want to.

Francois said that the app will ping b2evolution anyway every 12 hours: http://forums.b2evolution.net/centralized-antispam-pinging-b2evolution-net#c106973

Search for intranet setup in the manual. This is well documented.

Ok. Thanks for the advice!
It seems, that there are the solutions :)

I just want to confirm, that the login and backend are running in no time now. :)
Thanks!
