Yes, XML-RPC is very limited (read broken) in v 4.1
You can install b2evo v5 in a separate directory on your server in 4 minutes ;)

He took 5 minutes to install b2 evo 5 alpha ^^

But I did not sucess using wordpress for ios and b2vo5.

It crashed few seconds after launching the apps. I'm not sure but the crash can happen when wordpress for ios try to get the stats of the blog
I was able to get a "page" but not any article.

Well, I haven't tested it on ios for a while since I switched from Apple to Android.

Please enable XML-RPC logging in b2evo and post that log here:
- open /conf/_advanced.php on line 650
- edit $debug_xmlrpc_logging = 1;

I did some test with an iphone 4. images are renamed during the upload process. First image is call image.jpg, second is call image-1.jpg and so on.

I'm ok to resize and/or change quality of the image before the upload process (there are a lot of apps for that).
The upload using b2evolution is very difficult: lot of actions to do, lot of buttons, 2 windows popup.
It should be more simple (an example is icloud photo stream: only one button).

The log is ok, so WP app dies trying to parse the output from "metaWeblog.getRecentPosts" call.
It's hard to tell where it actually dies. All I can do is try how an Android app handles this.

@slamp yes we will simplify the UI for mobile devices down the road, but of course the best solution would be to get an iOS app to work ;)

I have no android devices at home, but as it is a demo blog, i can give you login and pass for testing purpose.

An ios app working will be perfect !
