SOLVED: "No input file specified." Extra-path prob

A couple of weeks ago my extra-path info links stopped working. I get the following error:

No input file specified.

The strange thing is that I never changed anything. All of a sudden one day it stopped working.

I am using Dreamhost as my host, and have never had a problem using extra-path info until it stopped working a little over two weeks ago.

Any ideas?

P.S. Things still work when I turn off extra-path info, so I could just do that. But I have so many internal links within my site that this would be quite frustrating.

I solved the problem by changing my hosting configurations in the Dreamhost panel. I changed the PHP version from 4.4.2 to 5.1.2

THANK YOU! I've had the same problem and was hacking away at the .htaccess and gave up... i switched to PHP 5 and it works like a charm! Oh boy! :)
