My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

Yesterday I upgraded to the wrong version (1.10.2) and everything went fine (at least after I got the web host admin. involved in setting the permissions.)

Today I tried to upgrade to 1.10.3, after setting the permissions as was done yesterday, and now the html icons in the "write post" and the skin choices are not showing up. I just get a red X where the images should be.

Also, the selected skin on my blog does not appear.

What can I do? I assume it is a permission issue, but I've tried opening up that with no luck on both the media and skins directories.

Help!

The images from B2evo itself are in the /rsc/ folder. I do not see how permissions can have anything to do with not showing pictures. I think you'd better check if the files exist and upload that folder again.

Good luck

Thanks, but that didn't work.

I think I'll try a new download and install and see if I get any different results.

I deleted everything in the old blog folder, then re-downloaded ver. 1.10.3 from a different server, then re-installed. At first, I thought maybe I had not put the base URL in the config file correctly, so I fixed that and repeated the previous things. It is still broken.

I've checked the path to the images, and it varies. In fact, it appears that all the graphics are not showing up - even the very first one where it tells you that the install is finished, even the link to the b2evolution site, the skin images, the HTML buttons and smileys.

I checked to see if the skin images were there, and they are. I tried opening up the rights to the skins folder, and it didn't fix the problem.

Any ideas?

I figured, hey, it's broken anyway, I'll go for the gusto and try the latest version (ver. 2.4.0).

I've still got the broken graphics link in the back office, and now the blog does not post to the web site either. At least it was doing that, even though it did not have a skin.

Can you advise?

(I've got the web host looking at it right now.)

Was I supposed to put the domain name in there instead of localhost? The config file clearly says to use "localhost" instead of the domain name.

Please clarify what you mean.

Config file says:
$baseurl = 'http://localhost/blog/';

Should it say:
$baseurl = 'http://www.suncountrygems.com/blog/';

yep, your base url is the url where your blogs live
