Nice skin ( and it validates .... have you been listening to voices in your head? ;) ) .... but ... there's always a but :|

1) Bloglist ( top right corner ) - needs to be padded righht a tad to bring it "inside" the image .... and maybe a tad more contrast of colours?

2) image on left side of "bPosts" ... kinda ends abruptly on the right edge, you should blend it in like right columns image

3) I don't like fixed width ( and you'd only have top / bottom image to piss about with ) :|

All in all, it looks great ;)

... but I'll stick with my own skin for now :D

thank you , i ve been listening to you as well :P..

ve noticed earlier that but you know you forgot some tiny things eventually, thanks for the tip though, will apply ur advices in the next release (if there can be one(: )maybe the next time i will make a pre-release post instead of introduction..

¥åßßå wrote:

Actually i ve worked my a.off to blend the loop corners, and did kinda good -not the best- but you cant blend all the four corners when you ve such a bg image.. will try to make that better next time..

¥åßßå wrote:

Neither do I, actually i was going to add a "switch to fixed-fluid width" button, i ve started doing but the header&foot images didnt let me to.. but may be i can do them with repeatable img in the middle pinning the left and right sides, but related to 1) than i will have 4 more corners to blend that time :o , that feature is more applicable for another skin (:

Thanks for your valuable feedback, you must have already noticed i ve been using "..the next time" "in another skin" .. "maybe later" 's those are not 'postponing' words , they are leaving the door open for development words (:
:P

Hi - Great skin! Love it.

My 2 cents worth of 2 comments:
1. on the left hand side, the background "dirt" on the "paper" is going into space of where the blog text go. It makes it just a little bit harder to read the text.

2. the text colour is dark brown, with the background being brown also it takes a bit of an effort to read it (esp for older people). *maybe* a darker colour would be better? (I had a quick play of it with FireBug - changed the text colour from #442020 to #221010 - seems easier to read).

Great job - really like what you did with the rustic look.

That was made on purpose to protect the wholeness of the paper, putting the content right in the middle would make it look nothing but a bg image i thought..

¥åßßå has also complained about the lack of contrast in colors, actually i ve tried even white but didnt look right(realistic), thanks for the tip, i really had rough time picking the colors..

and thanks for the feedback..

Instead of colors you might want to play with font size and the font you call. Sometimes that'll make all the difference for easy reading even if the color contrast seems to be what you want to fix.

thanks Ed, have already considered that too, i ve thought of using a appropriate handwrite-like font however then it hit me again that someone else (running mac , linux or win but not having that font) would not be able to view it the way it is..
so there is no need to be 'that' picky deciding on font family i believe, sizes may vary though..

moreover that reminds me, i should have better put A+ A+A+ A+ buttons to increase/decrease font size.. *that will be standart feature in the next skins if i make any more.. thanks for the inspiring(reminding) tip (:

welcome to the forums and good luck with your b2

please provide a screenshot of the problem, and next time remember reporting in the appropriate section, templates&skins that is, ideally to the skin's own thread

12 Feb 09, 2010 23:28

and uhm.. i know this has not been a warm welcome with all the "please post to the appropriate forum" and stuff, but it gets worse; next time, please check back more often than the people you expect response for your problem from or do not act as if you need urgent attention at all, - the typoe in the title (presumebly of hurry, pm'ing and stuff - (;

Does that funny lil exclamation mark at the bottom of your IE mean "javascript error" ? in which case clicking on it *might* give you an informative error.

Also, it *might* be worth doing a hard refresh ( ctrl+f5 ) of a page that fails

It's not a script error, just a security warning.

About the skin, thanks for the screenshot, that's gotta be the same problem... It happened when the *new* evo bar got involved in 3.x.. dont know why it happens though, gotta be a simple thing.. i hope i will check on it today and get back in a few hours

I *knew * you were an ie user, no wonder you "expect" js as default :D

Ctrl+f5 cures this error IIRC

22 Feb 12, 2010 12:26

It has not been updated in the skin directory yet.So, download from the link above, and upload the updated skin

23 Feb 12, 2010 13:34

Thanks! But when i click the download link, it says : error 404. :(

24 Feb 12, 2010 15:49

oops.. sorry bout that.. fixed the link.. try again

25 Feb 12, 2010 19:35

hi tilqicom,

thanks for the link. I've installed the update, but it gives me errors.
when loading the site, i get the "errors on the page" message.
when i log in as admin, i cannot acces anything.
the main page is the only page one can visit, and it runs down with no text for quite a bit, if you like, have a look: latortue.eu

if not, it does look a lot better, so i hope we'll be able to fix it.
thanks

david

27 Feb 13, 2010 08:34

when logged out i can't acces the different pages (presentation, voici la tortue etc). it says that those pages contain errors.
we deleted the presetation page, and created a new one which still doensn't work.
when logging in and out it often freezes my computer.

in order to continue the blog, i'll try another skinn for now, and will check back for ancient times later on.
