I've checked out the latest code from CVS but haven't done anything to it yet. I was just wondering, how would I send in patches. Also, if I were to add some cool new feature, what would be the chance of my patch actually being accepted? There isn't a roadmap, so I have no idea what the core developers want or don't want. The documentation says you should ask for CVS access, but I think it's a bit weird that they'll seemingly grant access to any Tom, Dick or Harry who wants it (I do have a SourceForge account http://sourceforge.net/users/zooplah/, but I would expect to earn CVS access privileges first).

I guess you should list the cool new features you're going to add ;)
If the devs like your ideas you'll be most likely granted CVS access.

Everybody gets read access to CVS.
It's for write access that you need to ask first :)

I'm aware of that. Like I said, I checked out the code. I just have no idea how to get the improvements I might make into the main code.
