Did you try another browser like firefox or internet explorer?

Don't have firefox installed (and don't want to) I use IE 8 already.

Are you thinking maybe the browser is have trouble with the dropdown menu arrow functionality on the admin overlay?

I clicked it and it immedieately took me to the blog view (out of dashboard view) and now the bit of the menu overlay that was on the far right is in line on the menu on the right (moved from left to right and now is the top of the menu tree) still can't get the arrows to close up.

Further I am not sure what "the Chicago" style means as far as skins go. There is no such skin in my skin style menus (if that makes any difference.) I use the custom skin being it worked best with my logo and Adbrite Ads. Not sure if "not having" a "Chicago" skin choice in the skins menu fubars the fix you suggested.

It should change you to the chicago skin for admin and should (hopefully) fix your menu problem

No go tried your link then cleared cache multiple times still same result, takes me to the same blog view and the menus won't close up nor will they in any part of the dashbord. (they are supposed to close right? I mean by clicking the little arrows next to them like most drop down menus?)

Its not eath shattering, I can work around it, just annoying is all. Thanks for help anyhow. If anyone figures anything else to try I'll appreciate it much and dance naked at your next wedding or divorce whcihever suits your needs ;)

BTW did you update all files, especially skins/_toolbar.inc.php ?

I remember fixing the same problem for a while ago, you may even find this thread on forums.
