My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

All of a sudden I get error message "Either You Have Not Enabled cookies or this login window hock expired" when I try to log on my website. I have not updated and I have searched the forum and tried all possible suggestions but no help. I use vertion 2.4.5. Try to start from scratch and then go to the login but then I lose all posts of course. What should I do?

Hi hedera. about the error you might wanna try another browser like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari etc.,.

About all of the that was lost, try to check in your database like Phpmyadmin if they're still there. If they do, try to backthem up zip it.

and i think you need to upgrade to v. 3.3

Things that cause cookie errors :

1) visiting www.domain.tld/..login when your baseurl is domain, you can cure this by visiting the baseurl version of the login link
2) having a second install of evo on a subdomain/folder, you can cure this by changing cookie_prefix in .. urm ... /conf/_advanced.php

It's pretty rare that "nothing has changed but", it's nearly always something that has changed. Often something trivial

Good news is, you do not need to lose your posts to cure this, even if neither of the above solve your problem ;)

Have tried these two things well, but it does not work. How do I correct my post on do I start from scratch with the new database so you can sign in but then lose my posts.

First you need to enable debug messages. Set $debug = 1; in conf/_advanced.php and try to log in. You'll see a lot of debug info, copy the whole "request:" section here.

I don't know where the bug is, but it's there ;)

Even if you set timeout to 5 minutes b2evo should keep you logged in for at least 5 minutes, right. But it keeps displaying the message "Either You Have Not Enabled cookies or this login window hock expired".

In my case it was the settings for multiple browsers. I could not log into the blog because of session timeout. As soon as the value in the advanced file was changed it worked fine.

I am also experiencing problems logging in. I tried the hacks.php solution, but that didn't fix it.
I have not done anything on this site for a while, I have changed the top level domain (dcadvocate.net) to point to different folder, but cannot see that that would have affected it.
Switched on debug and inserted below.

I still have no idea how or why, but....
I have 2 copies of B2E running, one for dcadvocate.net and the other for dixiejobs.dcadvocate.net. Each have their own DBs. versions are 3.3.3 and 2.4.6.
The session ID picked up from the cookie was from the dcadvocate.net version and not from the dixiejobs version. Removing the dcadvocate cookie solved the problem, at least temporarily. Not sure what will happen when I log out of one and into the other.

You should change $instance_name in conf/_advanced.php to something unique.
Each b2evo instance should have different $instance_name if they are located on the same domain.
