Slow Load in Firefox

I'm currently working on a skin which I intend to make available to the b2 community to use.

The unique part about this skin (as far as I am aware) is that the sidebar pushes right up to the top of the page, next to the header. Although the layout is now looking like what I was going for (colour scheme aside), it is slow to render in Firefox. It certainly gets there, but it is a bit sluggish.

Any feedback as to how this can be addressed would be much appreciated. If people do not find it so sluggish as to be annoying, I would like to know that as well. The skin can be [url=http://www.whittlingwood.com/index.php?blog=3]viewed here[/url].

Definitely do - the colors aren't my thing, but I very much like the layout, amd I'll be interested in what you've made when it's said and done.
