My b2evolution Version: Not Entered Dunno what to call it, but it's not a plugin and it's not something that lives in your skin. I guess that makes it a hack? Ahhh for the good old days of hacking the core!…

Visiglyph "fatal error..." Support Request
I hate when I get a "fatal error", the term is too tragic for something that usually has a solution... but, someone using a friend's blog (http://www.literanova.net) is trying to make a comment and is getting this error: CodeFatal error:…

I just updated the zip. Thanks to Afwas here in the forums, it now requires no hacking of anything ever. Cool eh? Plus it works when previewing a post. My view is there will be one more update of this ... some day. I really want to add a feature for…

What about editing comments? :) Visiglyph image is there... and it doesn't validate (at least with my visiglyphs plugin, I added style with padding to make it display nicely), so you can't let it be there...

I'm not sure what you're saying. Per the readme, the comment is permanently altered upon adding it to the database, so yes it shows in the back office when you edit comments. Per the readme, adding comments via the back office will not generate a…

Hi; Oh, so it really adds that image tag to a post... yup, I altered the image (I needed more padding), that's why it doesn't validate. Hmm, where can I alter the padding inside the plugin? EDIT: nevermind, I found it. ^^ Now it validates. :) Just one…

Yup. Easiest way is to change the bit that makes it make the img tag so that it doesn't use the classes provided with the plugin. Line 140 in an unmodified file, which should look something like this: is the bit that makes the 2-part class assignment,…

Minor update as I start working on the bigger problems: it now doesn't break the preview feature. It doesn't make a visiglyph for previews, but heck it didn't AND it broke the preview. Anyway now a commenter can preview. Big ticket problem is that it…

Is the person making the comment a logged in person? Also what version of visiglyphs are they using? I've got 2.0.1 which, near as I can tell, is the latest version. It does not have anything on line 105 so I suspect they have an older version?

Yup you might have wiped out all the prior visiglyphs. Each image is stored in a folder in the plugin's folder, so like plugins/visiglyph_plugin/visiglyphs/ is the path to the images. Without a backup of what was in that path there is no way to restore…

If so you can search for '%plugin/visiglyphs%' and get an idea of how many comments and images are involved, then maybe simply remove them from the comments so that the blog doesn't show broken images? You mean I can "Empty" the table…

EdB, I really don't know how to solve the mess I provoked erasing the former visiglyphs data. Now I get empty spaces in Firefox and Missing Images marks in IE and Opera. I looked into the Database but couldn't solve anything. I'm really sorry but I have…

Step one: do not EMPTY a table. Let me repeat that for clarity: do not EMPTY a table!!! Did I say empty it? NO NO NO!!! So the visiglyph plugin always has and always will permanently alter a submitted comment. The image tag is written before the comment…

Yes you can. I don't know why I said "this or that" when I can't think of any reason why it would have to be one or the other. In truth, you can use any combination of email, name, and/or IP address. Technically you could even use NONE of them…

This is a comment I (admin) made, but it doesn't show as the author of the comment. Is it because of the Visiglyph plugin? Other comments seam not affected, but I haven't got enough of them to test. http://www.blog.hemminga.net/Schermafdruk2.png

Visipglyphs vs OpenID plugin conflict! Support Request

Cool then, as that's sort of where I was at. I mean like the code is out there to see and it doesn't say anything special and it's not like I had to work to find it - it's linked on a blog post. And I have tried. And I'll of course give credit. So look…
