I am clicking save. The field disappears when I change blog URL settings.

I looked in the DB and the fields are still there (I have dozens of them now) but they aren't showing in the UI

We confirm there is a bug. We will fix it asap and it should be fixed in v 5.0.6 available probably next week.

Hello @phpsqlitesite, do you need help recovering your lost fields or just wait until a fixed b2evolution (v 5.0.6) to be released soon is good enough for you?

Thanks, but I can wait. I was just getting started on my project so it's no problem to put it on hold.
For now, I suggest that when you create a custom field, be sure to hit the "Save !" button before changing to another tab.
We'll suggest to the admin to implement the storing of session arbitrary values, as the data is lost when the session ends (i.e. when you close/change your browser window or tab).
