description tags are already normally used on the homepage only. I think you need to upgrade your skin a little :)

OK, I will test the new CVS version. Last test was done end of april with skin evopress and glossyblue.

Anyway in 3.x I saw that each category can have description. Is-it possible to use it as meta description for each category page ? Is there any object that can be put in _catdir.disp.php ?

http://domain/blog/categorie1 should use <meta description="description of categorie 1">
http://domain/blog/categorie2 should use <meta description="description of categorie 2">

In 3.x (I don't remember in which, I forgot to add to changelog) in the SEO tab, there's a option to use the post excerpt as meta description of the pages. Maybe could be cool use the description of the categories as meta description of category pages.
