I'm seeing the "IE look" in my Firefox (v2.whatever - the one that works for me ;) ) And your XHTML validates, as would your CSS if it wasn't for a flaw in the core styles. I wonder what versions of IE and FF you used for the screen caps?

Try with the image of the original skin. Perhaps you need a smaller blog title or change the font size of the blog title.
