My b2evolution Version: 4.x

Under system status, it lists this error - General cache folder error: The directory doesn't exist.

I can't find any mention of it in the documentation as to what's causing it.

Found the answer. Under the tools menu in the backoffice, select the misc tab, then from the cache management section select Repair Cache. Problem solved.

b2evo must check & run the tool on upgrade!

Agreed, repair cache must run on upgrade.
