enclosures are part of the rss 2.0 standard http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/tech/rss
I'm not saying it's without flaws, but it is popular, and it could always be disabled. People want it, I want it, it's already there, it just needs to be iimplemented.
Anyway Movable Type has it too with a plugin.
the plugin is here: http://brandon.fuller.name/archives/hacks/mtenclosures/#download
It's got a creative commons open deed so it can be freely reverse engineered for B2evo, if anyone who can do it is willing. Once again I have the time and desire, just not the skills.

In that case I agree: it should be supported (whatever it is).
Wordpress also has an extremely high rate of users disabling comments due to spammer floods. Should b2evo copy the mindless mass and incorporate the same? I reckon if this podcasting thing is embraced as a standard of some sort then it should (and probably will) be incorporated. If, on the other hand, it is not standard-compliant then I'd rather not see it happen. Whatever it is ;)
