In fact, it would have been better if accentuated posts titles would have been automatically converted into their HTML codes equivalents (ie. "é" to "é") However, when adding HTML codes directly, one has to also enter the URL of the post, since the URL contains the HTML codes (but the "&" sign).

Thank you personman! Nothing to change for the moment ;-)

It's a very good idea! I'll do the modification this week end. Thanks! :-)

I've forgotten to talk about trackbacks on blogs using another charset: converting accentuated characters before writing into the database would be fine. Integrating such a WYSIWYG editor as [url=http://www.fckeditor.net/]FCKeditor[/url] for posts edition makes most accents converted before posting the post. (Those appearing in the alt attribute of an img tags are still unconverted.)

I haven't tested it yet. I'm migrating from my very old and highly customized b2evolution 0.9.x to the latest b2evolution 1.9.2. I'm going to investigate that issue in the next few weeks. If it doesn't work, I'm going to post a bug, then trying to fix it (in that case, it should be straightforward).

Hi kwa;
If it works or not, will you be posting the results at this forum and this same topic or will it be somewhere else?
I'me very interested in following up this.
Thanks for your reply.

Wherever I'm going to post the results of my investigations, I'm also going to post here a notice message, so you won't miss it! OK? :D
