I've used the forum to learn how to activate the smilies toolbar and it comes up fine. I even chose which ones I wanted to display. Only problem is none of them come up in the blog posts...not even the word e.g. : oops : (without spaces).

Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this? I've searched the forum and scoured related directory files but can't see where the problem is coming from.

BTW I'm using the nautica2l skin.

Which version of b2evo are you using, and upgrading to the 1.8 release will most probably fix this, as well as give you many other benefits...

I use 0.9.1.
I did an upgrade to 1.8.1 RC, but then the skin doesn't work.
So i'm in a circle.

The "Smilies" renderer checkbox is checked for the item/post?

Maybe the images are not on the server/cannot get found?! With Internet Explorer, is there a "x" instead of the icon?

jonesy, it's not working with 0.9.1 but with 1.8.1-rc, despite of that your skin does not work there?

Yes, that's checked.
When i change the skin to for instance "London", the smilies are there, so i think it's a setting in the skin "nautica2l"

When i upgraded to 1.8.1-RC the skin did not work. I somewhere on the forum that the skin was not ready for this new version yet. Now i'm using the old version, because i like the skin.

It should not be a skin setting.

Can you check both skin files, if they contain a "<base href...>" tag at the beginning? Probably one does and the other not.

Can this get viewed "live"? So I could take a look at it - it should be allowed to change skins then, of course.

Both skins contain a "<base href...>" tag at the beginning".

Now the standard skin is "london", so you can change de skin. I want the "nautica2l" to be my standaard skin.

you can see it "live" at

thnx for your support

It's possibly something to do with this bit of css :-
img.middle {
vertical-align: middle;
border: 0px;
display: none;
}
