Hide the number of posts in categories list

Hi all.
I would know if there's a way to hide (or delete) the number of posts in categories list.

For example I would hide (4) in
# Background (4)

what version do you use ?

it's different..

1.8!

edit file /plugins/_categories.plugin.php

search for
<span class="notes">('.$cat['cat_postcount'].')
should be in line 289

and delete it ;-)
