Hi,
it would be very nice to have a plugin for the sidebar, which shows the title (and maybe the first 50 chars of it, set in the settings) of the posts from last year. And same for the posts of this day today 2 yrs ago and so on - like this structue shows (today = 2016-01-29):

Posts from last year
Title-1 from 2015-01-29
This are the first chars of this post ...
Title-2 from 20150129
Another beginning ...

Posts from 2014
Title 1 from 2014-01-29
Chars ...

Posts from 2013
Title-1 from 2013-01-29
Chars....
....

In the settings of the plugin I can decide how many years back I want to show.
I can decide, how many chars are shown.
I can decide, if I want to show the date of the year/day (and its format) or only "1 year ago, 2 years ago, 3 years ago".

This I miss.

@ednong it would be like a "This day in history" widget. We are already working in something according to your specifications, I will come back to you when we get some progress. Thanks.

Hi @ednong,

As I told you before, I have been working on this request.

It's possible that the feature ends up included into the developer's pipeline, so maybe in the future it would be a built-in widget with a slightly different implementation. In the meantime, please install the attached plugin and follow the instructions found next to each configuration parameter, make as many tests as you want and let us know your opinion.

Note: please consider the plugin as an Alpha release, developed and tested on version 6.6.7 only.

Regards!

This feature is very interesting, I think many people would like it (include me). I download and have a try, very detailed parameters setting. Thank you @mgsolipa @ednong .
