I updated my version from 2.4.2 to 2.4.5 and my reCaptcha plugin is not working. I downloaded Captcha 2.0, and it caqnnot be detected to be installed. Oh is there a solution for this? thanks

In answer to your question, I've successfully run reCAPTCHA on 2.4.5 without any changes. Right now, I'm working on tweaking it for a better handling of incorrect answers and a bit smooter integration with the comments form. I noticed that they do have a new library out (1.10, I believe) and am integrating that as well.
I don't know what you are refering to when you say you downloaded Captcha 2.0. Can you elaborate?
