Hello!

Brief history: I do not have knowledge about http/internet programmation. I chose b2evolution becouse it gave to me a good blog service and I learned how issue post/file/pictures
Yesterday I decided to move from my previous version to the actual 5.0.4 before doing that I decide to setup a backup with also media files and Logs & stats tables. In the end to the backup process I had a error signal and my blog page is gone down.
I did all processes to install new version but the blog page has not gone up automaticaly and I do not really know what to do.
I tried to re install, I cancelled the backup file because I thought was to big (?) I have not done a NEW INSTALL becouse affraid to lose all my previous posts. All the system is set up correctly and I can have acces to all settings in admin section. All my post are there, media file to but the page is not accessible.

What could I do?

Thank's

You have not told us your blog URL or What it displays now, so we can only guess...

Does it say your system is under maintenance? In that case, click view source in your browser for additional info..

ok,

Can you enable debugging? (set $debug = 1; in the /conf/_advanced.php file) ?

Can you look at the server PHP/Apache error log in order to have details about the error?

What??
Humm! It is a file on my server correct...
I see a file with that name in my blog "config" folder. How do I have acces to it?
Do I need a program or can I use my browser?

Sorry for my lack in knowledge

PHP/Apache ??

Ok, of you don't know how to do either those, ask your webhost support how to access the error log for PHP. It depends on your server but should be an easy answer for them.

Who is your webhost?

First get rid of that skin error, change to "evopress" or some other stock skin for starters.

Hello every one!

I received answer form my host, they set un the debug mode for me, It was a skin problem. The previous one was not availlable any more for the blog version.
I changed it and set down the debug mode... now I know what is the advanced.php file and how to have acces to it.

Thank you every one for your help.
