I'm having the same issue. It's not something I'm really using now, but I have plans for another blog where having the "more" tag would be useful.
Weird. Can you try it with a standard skin like evopress?
I've tried it with asevo, basic, and terrafirma. I'll reinstall evopress when I get home tonight to try it.
And not working in evopress either.
OK, we are investigating this.
Ok, I'm a bit of an idiot. ^_^; I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was putting a space between the front and the back of 'more'. It should be
<!--more-->
not
<!-- more -->
While dubird's issue may have been a non-starter my issue persists. The <!--more--> tag is set to show Read more ... but when it plays up it just shows ... (Read article ... is hyper linkage to an external article).
It seems to occur when I post an item to a category WITHOUT then clearing the Full Page cache under Tools.
This does not occur on the other sites using b2E.
Or maybe you just need to wait 10 minutes for the cache to update?
I don't understand what you mean with "when I post an item to a category". Any item you post has to be in a category, so why do you specifically say "to a category" ?
Waiting 10 min, 1 or 2 hours or a day makes no difference in Chrome.
Re category. An item may well appear in a number of categories. It is related to bringing up a specific category url in the browser; the menu directs traffic to various categories/blogs. The site actually is a multi blog site and the principle reason I use b2evo on a number of sites.
Hi,
could someone tell me where (If it is at all possible, of course) the text of the <!--more--> tag can be edited?
Thanks.
@vlaanderen, let me ask you, why do you need to change that tag?
You should use [teaserbreak]
instead of <!--more-->
. Actually, it is automatically replaced when you save the post.

It is simply because I would like to set "Full Story" to its Dutch equivalent.
So, it is basically the text that is produced by the tag I would like to edit.
All right, maybe that string is not translated in your dutch language pack. There are several ways to solve this, for example: reading this page http://b2evolution.net/man/localization, translating "Full story" at Transifex (and a couple more strings, if you want to :D) and then re-generating your locale as instructed in the page.
The other way: it requires the addition of a single line of code, but please try the option above first, I'm sure you will learn much more about b2evolution ;)
If you have any problem with this, please let us know.
Regards!
