I'm not sure, how i am supposed to do it the best way. I have the old version still running and set up parallel the upgraded version in separate folder and database. When working on the upgraded version, i renamed/switched folder names for a few minutes (taking off the working old version), but i don't want do this for too long time.

Doing so, i 'generated' a few pages of the new, upgraded version in debugging mode and saved these here:

Skins still not working. I selected Custom Skin for all blogs (remembered that some skins had been modified, but were working in 4.16) and was wondering now, if the url-config could be source of confusion. Have not changed anything here and would expect that if worked in 4.16, it should work after upgrade in 5.06 too? Have also disabled all plugins and widgets for the one blog

My first question: as long as posts are there/accessible, can i assume that the url-configuration is not source of the problem?

Second question: would debugging document errors (print the word error) or is it more a tool, telling 'only' the expert that something's going wrong or is missing. Because to me debug info and debug messages are not really telling a story, that would direct me towards a solution.

Checking the various blog settings, i noticed the photoblog would perform correctly (apply the skin and display formated).

The difference to my other blogs is: the Blog base URL in this case was set to 'Relative to baseurl:', while in my other blogs i have/had 'Absolute URL:', which is not working as with earlier version 4.16

I don't like having lost the absolute URL, and will have to sort out the multi-blog settings later.

Any idea, if there have been changes with the upgrade influencing the multi-blog handling? only wondering why it would have worked with the 4.16 version while not with 5.06 ..
