[1.10.x] New Install: Login Problem - Cookies Issues

My b2evolution Version: 1.10.x

Hi guys!

Installed the new version of b2evolution. Environment in WAMP. For now, I am using localhost for evaluation purposes.

The problem now is that I cannot login with an error of "Either you have not enabled cookies or this login window has expired. "

The cookies are enabled.

Following the previous postings on this forum:

1) I deleted the cookies (under IE and Firefox)
2) Verified $baseurl = 'http://localhost/blogs/'; in _basic_config.php
3) Changed ini_set( 'memory_limit', '16M' ); in _advanced_config.php

Did couple of fresh installs and the problem continues to persist. I am totally at loss on what to do now.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi john,

Try to figure out your computers IP. If you are behind a firewall from a modem than the IP will look like 192.186.x.x Now replace localhost with this number. In some cases you can use the IP from the DSL modem (from your host). This might work if you have configured WAMP for online use.

I'm out of ideas at this point. You seem to have all your settings correct (the blog is installed under c:\wamp\www\blogs I presume) and all I can say is the combination WAMP and (four seperate) blogs run smoothly on my setup.

You do have a cookie issue. Is there any b2evo cookie stored under IE and/or FF. Have you tried Opera as a third possibility? Try deleting cookies once more and once more.
