I've never even tried to make logins cross from one app to another, but I *think* the plugin at http://evocms-plugins.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/evocms-plugins/ldap_plugin/trunk/ might be what you're after.

What I did once was similar but different: I made up a little file that gave all phpbb forum members a b2evolution blog, but each user still had to log in again at the blog. Perhaps that old hack of mine could inspire you to a similar hack for your purposes?
