Ok this is a simple problem: I cannot see the list of available plugins when i upload a new file to the plugin folder. I can upload a new folder...but it won't be part of that populated list. I don't quite know where to start on this topic, so i was wondering if anyone knew a solution?

You click on the "install new" link right? And still not seeing the plugin you just uploaded?
