I am in the process of setting up a new install of B2Eveolution (v2.4.5) and all is going great. I created a new blog and went through all settings and customized. What I cannot figure out is how to now delete the sample blogs (Blog A, Blog B, PhotoBlog, LinkBlog).

If you are absolutely sure that you do not want to recycle those existing blogs:
...in your b2evolution admin backend, select Dashboard, and subsequently select Global. You will see a list of blogs: simply select the one(s) you wish to delete by "clicking" the red X (at the far right of your screen) under the Actions heading.
It is important that you become familiar with b2evolution by spending time exploring every resource in the admin backend; the fact is, your question is a relatively easy thing to do if you took the time to explore first, concurrently reading the online documentation and these online forums . ;)
