[2.x] getting sticky post to work

My b2evolution Version: 2.x

I've been trying to get a sticky post to work, no luck. What am I doing wrong. I added the code to my index.php file and added a new 'post type'. It's not sticking though:

What could I be doing wrong?

Hi ladybirddee,

You are using stub files. Add the code to the file blog4.php instead of index.php and check the other stub files also (blog1.php through blog9.php).
