[2.x] Webserver restart and localization

My b2evolution Version: 2.x

Hi,
I installed b2evolution to a server which is in commercial use all the time and not possible to restart because of that. I started to translate it to my own language and would like to see the transaltion results. But there is a sentence on http://manual.b2evolution.net/Localization:

Please note: if you make changes to your .po/.mo files after having used them in b2evolution, you may need to restart your webserver in order to clear gettext's internal cache and see your changes.

I'm not very good with server commands, so what is a solution to activate new translation without restarting server?
Server is "LAMP" and I've SSH possibility.

Hello hirhtehinen,

By default gettext isn't used, so if you haven't changed the config, it isn't necessary to restart your webserver.

You gave a good hint to go on to find the solution. It took some time to get Extract -button enabled and find where it is..Show translation info...

Hi hithehinen,

You don't need to go that way. You can use any .po or .pot from the package or from this site to get you started with a translation.
