Second and onward pages not showing

My b2evolution Version: 2.x

I have a slight problem writing a multi-page post. Not sure exactly what is the correct way to do it, but this is the way in which I did it:

1. I wrote a decent amount of text before I decided to break it into two pages.
2. I wrote

I think there is a bug with the new release. I could not get multi page posts to work either.

To double check I looked at the example Blog A that comes with the installation. I went to the example multipage post and clicked the page numbers.

No matter which page number I click, it always shows the message for page 1.
