hi sir, maybe you can try this instead..
Tools> Global Settings> Antispam>Block spam referers (tick).

yeah I could try that, but I still need to make it so people have to register in order to post comments.
Can someone tell me how to do that?

My mistake, first install the basic antispam plugin that ships with the core, then hit it's settings and untick allow anonymous comments

Assuming you have registration enabled ( admin > global settings > allow registration ), then you just need to add the user tools widget admin > blog settings > [blog] > widgets > add new > user_tools
