My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

I recently upgraded my b2evolution installation to 3.3.3 via fantastico.

Everything works fine, but there is now ANOTHER trailing / in the address of my Blog. The last time I upgraded, I noticed an additional one, but didn;t really care too much. Now, the address of my blog is:

www.mydomain.com/blog///

How do I get rid of those two extra forward slashes?

I tried to change the base url to reflect the address without the slashes (from within the admin>blog settings>urls, and that pretty much shut the blog down.

How do I get rid of those extra slashes?!
