Update #3 (is anyone reading this? please?)
Manually removed b2evo and the database, did a clean install of 3.3.3, and manually imported the data back into the database. My site is now working. But I would like to find out WHY it was putting a heavy load on the CPU. Anyone?

depends on what you mean by "heavy".ask your hosting provider hopw much max cpu usage percent they have allocated.and ask them to prove that you are excessing it.Because sometimes hosting providers tend to claim bullsht like that just to cover their misconfigured servers' faults.
How many visitors and pageviews do you have per day ?

Regular visitors, not a lot. I don't have a popular site. I get more spam hits than I do regular ones. But this was just with me checking it. And they won't tell me the numbers, this was all they would tell me in the email:
dubird 19367 20.1 0.5 117220 24292 ? S 18:37 0:30 /usr/bin/php-cgi
dubird 19373 0.0 0.0 0 0 ? Zs 18:37 0:00 [php-cgi]
dubird 19374 90.7 0.3 117216 12436 ? R 18:37 2:15 /usr/bin/php-cgi
I honestly have no idea what that means. ><

What is your hosts website?
Is it a free host or do you pay for it?
Update: Asked my host to switch to PHP5, which they did. It made the problem much worse. Guy I was talking to said that with that, my site consumed way too much CPU, which confused me because I didn't think b2evo was THAT much of a load. So I'm thinking I have a setting somewhere that needs checking, but I don't know where. As of this point, my site is broken. I really want it fixed, but I'd really like to not roll back at this point. I can, I would just rather not if possible.
