- Backup database on old blog
- Backup files on old blog
- Install database on new domain
- Install files on new domain
- Check urls:
If there were any links in the old blog (including in posts) that link to other pages/resources and those links include the old domain.tld then these will need updating.
- Once you are happy the new blog on the new domain is running as the old one did on the old domain, start to 301 redirect all old posts/page to the new domain posts/pages. If you are running b2evo 3.x (I think) or above then you can change the posts 'Visibility / Sharing' from Published to Redirected. For other bits you might need to play with the .htaccess file on the host to redirect other urls.
