I've attempted to upload several skins to the evoSkins Repository in the past few months and was a little disapointed when they didn't show up and I didn't hear anything. I assumed Graham was busy and left it at that. But then Graham was nice enough to stop by my site and leave the following comment:

I never got it. Haven't had a submission since the Nescafe skin by Walter, so the submission form is working fine. Try uploading it again, or you can mail it to me. Try hitting http://skins.b2evolution.net/files since that's where your zip will be uploaded to after it is submitted.

So I looked at http://skins.b2evolution.net/files and sure enough, the zip files I'd uploaded weren't there. I thought it was odd so I tried uploading by the submission form again. I hadn't received an error from my browser (Safari for Mac OS X) but still there was no zip from me.

So I decided that perhaps it was a browser issue. I tried using the skin submission form with MSIE 5 for Mac OS X. The same result... not error message and yet no skin zip from yours truly.

I was very confused by then. I wasn't sure if perhaps it was a mac thing and decided that I'd try uploading it using my Linux laptop. But I made a last ditch effort with OS X using Mozilla. THAT worked.

I'm not sure why that is the case. I reallly have no idea. But if any of you are using Mac OS X and wish to submit a skin, I suggest using Mozilla or Mozilla Firebird to do so. That may seem an odd solution but hey *shrug* it works.

Fixing this is the next job on my list. I have no idea why this only works in some browsers... The morral of this story? Use Firefox! :P

No, and Graham just had me try a few test files. As I wrote to him:

I just used the submission form in an attempt to upload two zips (test01.zip and test02.zip) twice in both Safari 1.0.3 and MSIE 5.2.1 for Mac OS X. I thought that perhaps it was my firewall settings so I even turned off my firewall for the second attempt with each browser. Still no results. I'm not sure why that is the case.

Hmm, ok this is a major bug. Going to leave this one to my poor php skillz Francois, or are you gonna take it?

Although it's not my firewall, there could be something on my (client) end of things. I humbly recomend having at least one more Mac user test the upload form.

I just did a quick search and found that others have had similar problems with Safari and forms. None of the forum threads I found suggested the same solution though.
