Hello,

I'm in v 4.1.3 / skin nifty-corners and I'm trying to put in my post some links to other posts (I want to get them as part of a category, not single post). Whatever the settings for the blog (URLs, SEO ...) the link always falls to the 1st page of the category and not on the item number as specified.
for instance :
for the blog : http://www.le-fataliste.fr/blabla/sciences.php
Main cat : b8-astronomie
Sub cat : b8-venus-1874
item : #item_260 or whatever

This link
http://www.le-fataliste.fr/blabla/sciences.php/b8-astronomie/b8-venus-1874/#item_260
falls on page 1 (item # = 247) of the requested sub-cat.

The only way I found to get to the correct post is to give a page number, but since this number would change when I add a new post, this is not a solution...

Anyone can help ? Is this a bug ?

best regards,
Jacques

Open Blog settings > SEO, find "By date" archives section and set there 9999

Then you can use links like this

http://www.le-fataliste.fr/blabla/sciences.php/2012/#item_XXX

Ok, thanks. I tried that, it gives me the good item, but in a long page where all 2012 items are displayed. I would like to have only one post per page with the navigation << 1 2 3 ... nn >> at the top.

If I tried blogn.php/cat/subcat/#item_nnn this is because it's what we get for the permalink when we set it to 'post in a subcat' (under SEO/Main page) as you can see in this blog : http://le-fataliste/blabla/sciences.php ; the permalink always link to the first page of the category unless one also set the item number in SEO/Category page to a large number. Same as with the Archives settings...

Edited : in both case (archives or categories), the title of the focused post is hidden under the Admin bar (seen under MSIE8 and FF11)

Edited 2 : I give up with the setting 'post in a subcat' (under SEO/Main page) for the permalink. This prevent displaying the nextpages ! One always fall on the first page of the post :( With the setting 'link to single post' the 2nd, 3rd etc. pages loose the navigation between posts ...

Regards.
Jacques
