djmac, to add links to the sidebar you would simply at them as a new blog entry to your linkblog - by default this is blog number 4 (if you havent deleted it) ... you can create new categories just like a normal blog, and each link will be displayed beneath that category. The linkblog section will only display the root categories, not sub categories. And dont bother adding any text to each url - simply put the URL and title and submit it and it should appear.
