Is there a way to eliminate the date from entry URLs? Instead of www.mysite.com/b2evolution/index.php/blogname/2005/09/23/bunnies, I want www.mysite.com/b2evolution/bunnies.

Is there at least a way to take out "/index.php"?

yes, mod-rewrite, but how will I go about it? Would all necessary changes go on the .htaccess file? Should extra-path info be on or off? Can I do it so that BOTH mydomain.com/b2e/a/2005/9/20/bunnies and mydomain.com/b2e/bunnies will work?

if you read the link you would know that mod_rewrite uses the .htaccess, so yes to question 1.

I do not know how the extra path info setting would affect those changes. Try it and see.

You can do just about anything with mod_rewrite. Check my site -- even my search is cruft-free
