I have noticed a similar problem to this:
When I search on google, the link on google has the month of the posting instead of the direct link to the post.
Google says: domain/blog/index.php?blog=5&m=200509
instead of
domain/blog/index.php?blog=7&p=41
is there a setting i'm missing?
Should I enable the following?
make certain that you've got your back office settings (Settings Tab -> General Tab -> Link Options Area -> "Use extra-path info" checked ... and "permalink type" radio buttoned to "Post called up by its URL title" ... or you won't get the "URL Title" in the link.

the second link :
The Pessimist
File Format: Unrecognized - View as HTML
... href="http://www.ndp.ca/edwinlaryea/welcome">Edwin Laryea</a>. Now I usually
support the Liberals, but I was interested in the movie so I went anyway. ...
thepessimist.ca/xmlsrv/rss.php?blog=5 - Similar pages
atleast the one I see here:
http://www.google.com/search?q=Edwin+Laryea+movie&hl=en&lr=&safe=off&start=10&sa=N
(2nd from top)
is your RSS feed for that blog (blog 5)
thats prefectly normal and the "blob" of text looks just the way it should :)
google spiders feeds. you might find someone else that can that can give you some mod_rewrite tips on how to make that URI "prettier" but it wont make any difference to Google.
