How to empty the hit-log?

Hi! I've set auto-pruning of my hitlog from 30 to 10 days. Nevertheless, the space occupied by the hitlog remains the same (41MB). Are there alternative ways to empty / reduce the contents of the hit-log (via phpMyAdmin? how?)? Thanks!

You can just delete all the records in PhpMyAdmin

Thanks! Now, I've emptied the whole table. But I wonder why auto-pruning didn't work
