creating a scaled down page..

i have currently been using b2 evolution to send out a makeshift newsletter to about 40k people.. the problem is, the page i send is really busy, and my new mailer doesn't really like it all that well..

when i run into a problem, it's not uncommon to get 1,000 emails letting me know there is a problem..

here's what i would like to do..

make a quick and dirty page that just shows the title, the blog post.. and a post back to the blog..

i read the info on skins and templates, but i think i need to go back one step..

does anyone know how i could make a template for a blog post that does not include anything from _main.php, but only the scant fields i specify?

hate to reply to my own post.. but i had another idea..

is there a directive in a skin template that i can use?

something like:

$do_not_use_skin = 1;

??

Take a look at a_noskin.php in your /blogs directory. It might get you going in the right direction as it allows you to strip various items from your blog display.
