Hi,

I have some weird behavior: the comments I place when logged in on my own blog are inserted as draft and so need to be moderated. I have following plugins and settings:

[list]

  • App Settings, Antispam:

  • Publishing threshold: -25
    Deletion threshold: 100
    Block spam referers: checked
    Spam detection relevance weight
    Basic Antispam: 1
    Akismet: 1

  • DNSBL Antispam:

  • Priority: 40
Whitelisting currently disabled as I played a bit with the captcha

  • Captcha images

  • Use for anonymous: not checked
    Use for members: 0
    Use for registered: 2
    Priority: 50
Nothing filled in in the code field

  • Allow anonymous comments: checked

  • Detect feedback duplicates: checked
    Feedback sensitivity to links: 10
    Apply rel="nofollow": 0
Check referers for URL: not checked
    Check trackbacks for URL: checked
    Code: empty
    Priority: 60

  • Akismet:

  • Use for anonymous: checked
    Use for members: 10
    Use for registered: 2
    Skip above: 150
    Skip below: -50
    Priority: 100
    [/list:u]

How can I prevent my own comments (or those from authenticated users) from being held in the moderation queue?

Go to blog settings - click on blog - click on advanced settings: Modify New Feedback Status. :)

Hmm, if I understood it correctly, that setting won't affect unregistered users commenting right? Or those users that are below a certain level (depending on my plugin setting)??

    THanks!

It will affect all commenters that are now(currently) allowed.

    Ahh okay thanks.

I thought it will bypass the moderation queue for the administrators and other usergroups and/or certain user-levels.

Maybe we are not on the same page. New Feedback Status is a global setting...it affects all users and usergroups. ie...If you set NFS to Published, all comments will be published, no matter the usergroup or user level, and will bypass moderation.

now the world is much easier to manage :p

EDIT: wait, I have to wait for the reopening of the registration ;)

EDIT again: ok, I guess I have to wait 60 days more before I can get my hands on it :(
