New Blogs in 1.8

This is driving me crazy. I've looked at the manual but I'm none the wiser. In my previous incarnation of B2 EVO setting up new blogs was ever so simple. I've set up a test installation with a number of blogs but I can't acess the other blogs. http://www.ecps.org.uk - list of created blogs down left hand side.

In the screennie I would expect the blog I'm creating to have the URL of

http://www.tvcm.co.uk/b2/dev/index.php/steve_t

in fact it does until I save and then it has the URL

http://www.tvcm.co.uk/b2/dev/index.php/

in fact all the blogs have that URL

Have you turned on extra path info ? (admin > app settings)

yes

I've turned it off and the links work now

but I get URL's likehttp://www.tvcm.co.uk/b2/dev/index.php?blog=8

extra paths used to work for me

When I turn on extra path info (with the same settings as your screenshot) I get the urls that you expect ?
