I was testing out something today and realized that I can't seem to post comments, no matter what setting I use. I get a 403 Forbidden error page when I click submit. It's not a serious issue because I don't use comments right now, though I may in the future when I get another blog done. I've set it to Anybody and logged out, set it to Registered and logged in, even tried Members Only, and I still get the forbidden page. I also tried disabling the reCaptcha, and it still won't work. This is the link to my test blog, and I'll keep comments on Any user for a while so you can see it. Unless it works for others, in which case it's my computer. ><

comments are turned off on your blog, so we can"t see the message.

You should at least post a screenshot when you have a problem like that.

That 403 page is not generated by b2evolution but by your web server. The rule that forbids access is at the web server level or unix file permissions level. The request is stopped before b2evolution is called.

If you don't know what to do about this, ask your web host.

What are the permissions supposed to be for that folder and file?

Ok, never mind. I was trying to find a work-around for something else, and had a rewrite condition in my .htacess. I have no idea why it was there, but removing it fixed the issue.
