In one of my collections (type: blog, skin: Bootstrap Main) I would like to display the featured posts at full length on the front page (Front Page Main Area). The Featured Posts widget just gives me a list with a short teaser. That's not enough. At the moment my work-around is to paste the post content into the Intro-Front post, which dispalys in full length. However, it would be handy if I could have the Intro-Front in full, followed by several full-length featured posts.

I have checked the option Post contents: Full post contents (including after "

"). This only displays the full-lenght posts in the background area of the collection that you get to once you click on a title (sorry, not sure what it's called).

I use the latest b2evo version.

So I guess you want to do this but still keep the ability to display the regular list of posts, right?

So here's what I would do:

1) Make a "Home" collection that is separate from your "Posts" collection.

2) Everything that should go to the home should now be cross-posted to both collections (instead or in addition to be made "featured")

3) On the home collection, set the front page to display "recent posts" (instead of "special front page"): http://b2evolution.net/man/collection-front-page-settings

Now you have a Home collection that shows all your "featured post", in fill length if you want and with any intro your want. Use the "Posts" collection for all the other displays so you get full contents.

Ah, I see what you're doing. Not quite what I need just now, but I'll keep it in mind. It could come in handy for something else. For this one I want to keep the pretty pic from the Special Front Page as background for the text. The full-length features are supposed to basically modularise the content, which makes it easier to manage the different parts of the overall content on this page.
However, on refelection I think my idea would ruin the look of the page anyway. Too overwhelming. I'll work with the Intro post and link from there to the individual articles in the background for those site visitors who want more detail.
