My b2evolution Version: 3.3.3

What would be the easiest way to automate the deleting of completed b2evo scheduler jobs from the database... say anything older than 15 days?

The "neat freak anal-retentive sysadmin" in me is noticing these things piling up. ;)

I could easily create a system cron job to do it, but I'm trying to get the hang of b2evo plugin-type coding.

How 'bout a nudge?

You can modify the existing job to check and delete old entries from the database.

Do you really have hundreds of thousands of entries in cron table?

I guess I'm thinking of creating a plugin with a configuration page that allows me to set some parameters. Silly most likely, but good practice. I'll look at the test plugin and the jobs that are already stored in the database and poke around a little.

Give me about fifty-thousand days and I might. ;)

EDIT: Not sure if "Feature Requests" was the ideal place to move this to, but... :-/

Don't you think that b2evo should clean up after itself? ;)

Well, sure!
But, I certainly wasn't implying. B)
