Having recently upgraded from 1.6 to 1.8 I have a problem in that the login/out links cause a config error from the server.

The link is :

http://www.bloggs.co.uk/cotton/htsrv/login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bloggs.co.uk%2Fcotton%2Findex.php%3Fblog%3D5%26amp%3Bpaged%3D1%26amp%3Bpage%3D1

The Error is:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

If I convert all the %3A%2F%2F type stuff to the appropriate characters it works ok.

Is this something to do with the way in which things are being URLENCODed?

Is there anything I can do to change the link that is produced ?

this should be in the bugs for 1.x forum.

ask your server administrator about it...

TonyG, please search the forums - something like this appeared often for people while using 1.8.

I can only help, if you post the error that causes the internal server error (which should get written to the server's error log).

Maybe it's memory_limit (please search for this, also).

You may have even been around in one of the threads I'm thinking about now, so, sorry then.. ;)
