[6.9.7] IP block does not works for Pingbacks/Trackbacks

I have had in the last days a server with an IP from USA which created much of trackbacks (I will not disable this in my blogs). Trackbacks full with ads. So I blocked its IP in the "System > Antispam > IP-Ranges" tab.

But it seems this will not works for pingbacks/trackbacks. Although its IP is blocked, the server created much more trackbacks.

I guess, this is a bug.

ok we will fix this but please show me examples of recent useful trackbacks. I am really interested to see this because otherwise we are really considering trackbacks as an obsolete feature.
