Cannot log-in after upgrading.

I have just upgraded to the lates stable version.
However when I try to jog in as admin I get the following:

and if I then try to log-in I again get:

What am I doing wrong?

The message then appears across the top of the blogs on my website.

Have solved the problem by removing the comment symbol in line above the offending code.

Hi @clydesdalecricket, maybe it's a better idea to downgrade your PHP version to 5.5 (if your hosting provider supports PHP version switching), and wait for a proper fix to be included in a next release.

However, if you have no further enconding issues, then your modification is good enough and you can leave it as it.
