Hi World,

I am using 2.4.6 released on 12.01.09 (dont find someone for upgrading till now) for my domain: http://www.goldseitenblog.com

One of my writers can not upload files to his blog. Days before it worked but not now and I dont remember that I changed his permissions.

Needed to activate the three checkboxes at the right? (By the way, how to upload a file here in the forum)

hm it could be a permission problem. Not all sub-directories of the writers folder has 0777 but 0755 or 0775. I cant change the permissions via fileZilla and it looks as if I have to contact my provider, right?

Or is there an idea where to find the FTP Documentation mentioned here: http://manual.b2evolution.net/Directory_and_file_permissions

The first thing to do would be to post a screenshot of what happens when he tries to upload files.

The second would be to upgrade to b2evolution v5 because we can only help you efficiently for v5.

@fplanque

1. Thanks for reply. I put group permission to "Add/Upload files to allowed roots" and now it works again. Only my changes in the users permission does not work/are not to save. But again, now it works for the author.

2. I am looking for someone who can and will do this. Probably its the easiest way to take the v5 and import the old database. But again I am looking for a technical/IT expert who can handle this for my multiblog.

PS: I do not have a screenshot from the situation my author mentioned.
